Victory Medal 1914-19 (S-12360 Cpl. A. Gilchrist. Gordons.), minor polishing, very fine

Andrew Gilchrist was born at Darvel, Ayrshire in 1895, the son of James and Marjory Gilchrist of 1254, Paisley Road, West Glasgow. Enlisting with the 8th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders at Glasgow he was later posted to the 5th (Buchan and Formartin) Battalion in France. Gilchrist was killed in 31 July 1917, he is commemorated upon the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial; sold together with copied research including M.I.C. and Commonwealth War Graves certificate.
