Joseph Harold Kirby of Redland, Bristol, attested for service with the Imperial Yeomanry in London, aged 20 and with his profession noted as 'clerk'. In South Africa from March 1900, he took discharge on 10 June 1901 at the termination of his initial period of engagement and returned home to the U.K.
