Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, no clasp (H. Deayton, A.B. H.M.S. Turquoise.), very fine

Henry Deayton was born at St Albans on 29 July 1860 and enlisted in the Royal Navy on 29 July 1878. He served aboard Turquoise from 8 June 1884-2 November 1887 and was promoted Petty Officer 1st Class in 1896. Deayton joined the Royal Fleet Reserve at Chatham on 23 April 1904 and was discharged on 28 July 1910. During the Great War he was recalled on 5 August 1914 and served ashore at Pembroke I until 4 February 1919.
