Great Britain: Rowntree and Company Ltd., 7% 2nd cumulative preference shares of £1 each, 19[37], #8359, signed by J. B. Morrell, brown printing with scrollwork. John Bowes Morrell (1873-1963), twice Lord Mayor of York, helped found the University of York and was Director of Rowntree's Cocoa Works at the age of 25. GVF and rare despite the high serial number.
