Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (6274 Pte. J. Wall. Rl: Welsh Fus:), good very fine

J. Wall joined the Royal Welch Fusiliers circa January 1900 and was posted from the Depot at Wrexham to join the 5th (Provisional) Battalion at Devonport. Embarked for South Africa in April 1901, he served with the 22nd Mounted Infantry and on 13 January 1902 was severely wounded in the action at Doornfontein. Recovered from his wounds, he was transferred to the Reserve later that year; sold together with a letter from the Regimental Museum regarding this Medal. Further entitled to two dated clasps to the Medal.
