The India General Service Medal awarded to Private W. Lezemore, 1st Battalion, The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment, who fought at Tugela Heights and was killed in action at Wynne’s Hill on 23 February 1900

William Lezemore served with the 1st Battalion, The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment on the North-West Frontier before joining the 2nd Battalion with the Army assembled by General Buller for the Relief of Ladysmith in early 1900. They were present at the British breakthrough during the Battle of Tugela Heights and Lezemore was killed during the fighting at Wynne’s Hill on 23 February 1900; sold together with copied research including medal rolls and typed record of death.
