1855-1930 used collection with a range of Chalons including 1855-58 blued paper 2d. with just clear to good margins, 1857-63 white paper 2d. pale blue with small to good margins, 6d. bistre-brown with just clear to small margins and 6d. brown with close to large margins, 1962-64 wmk. Large Star, imperf 1d. vermilion with close to good margins and 3d. with mainly good to large margins cancelled by oval-framed 5/otahuhu/a", 2d. (4), 6d. (3) and 1/- (3 including a deep green with good margins), 1862-63 pelure paper, rouletted 7 6d. (with B.P.A. certificate stating "treated to reduce staining, pale colour), 1863 (early) thick soft paper, imperf 2d. with small to good margins (light crease at top), 1864 wmk "NZ" 6d. just into at top, 1864-71 wmk Large Star, perf 12½ range including 4d. deep rose and 1872-73 perf 12½ 6d. with almost complete oval-framed "5/otahuhu/A", 1878 First Sideface 1d. to 5/-, 1898-1907 Pictorial range, 1906 Christchurch Exhibition, 1909-16 KE range including widely spaced watermark 5d. and 8d. (2) "two perf" pairs, 1913 Auckland Exhibition and 1915-33 KGV range including shades (one 6d. marked as a carmine-lake shade), both perfs and some "two perf" pairs; condition generally fine though a few with faults in the Chalons. A good lot for closer inspection
