Coy 68th Light Infantry" at Rangoon, countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing 1a. tied by "B/156" obliterator, showing framed "india paid", Paid London c.d.s. (15.2) and, on reverse (flap torn), framed "rangoon/ship letter/paid" d.s. and light Rangoon and York datestamps. An early example of the compulsory pre-payment of postage on letters from India.
