Sikh Empire, time of Duleep Singh (VS 1900-06; 1843-49), Gobindshahi Rupee, 11.07g, Amritsar, fixed year VS1884 / 1904 (1847), bird on lower line to far left of obverse and fly whisk within legend gur (Gurprit Singh 01.90.01; KM 21.1), with body of bird clearly visible, darkly toned, good very fine and extremely rare
All coins of the frozen year series VS 1884 struck after VS1895 have the Gobindshahi couplet on the obverse. The Rupee of this year with the bird (peacock?) is extremely rare.
