Sikh Empire, Ranjit Singh (VS 1856-96; 1799-1839), Morashahi Rupee, Amritsar, VS 1862 (1805), reverse with mora (peacock tail), or ber symbol (Herrli 01.11.04; Gurprit Singh 01.29.01; KM 20.4), a couple of shroff marks and an adjustment mark on the edge, gem uncirculated and rare in this condition

Coins of this type have been referred to as Morashahi due to the shape of the symbol on the reverse that resembles a peacock's tail. Gurprit Singh says that they should be correctly referred to as Bershahi a name taken from its resemblance to a sprig of the Ber (Zizyphus jujuba).
