Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (C. Sedley, Captain R.E.), engraved naming in running script, about extremely fine

Charles Herbert Sedley was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers on 17 December 1846 and rose through the ranks to be Second Captain by April 1855. Appointed to the Fifth Class of the Order of the Medjidie for his service in the Crimea (London Gazette, 2 March 1858, refers) he died in Jamaica in December 1866.
