1848 (22 July) wrapper to Bakewell bearing 1841 1d. red-brown (3 pairs from an original block of six, mixed margins) tied by "155" numerals and marked "Registered Paid 6d." in red ink, with Buxton despatch c.d.s. in blue, the reverse with further despatch and Bakewell arrival (22.7); two rather heavy vertical filing creases, one through two of the adhesives. An early date for the new reduced registration rate which was introduced in 1848 by Rowland Hill
