Postage Due Handstamps
1921-24 a group of four cards including 1921 (14 May) postcard from Alexandria to Valletta, franked at 5m. and showing arrival c.d.s. (19.5), boxed "T" handstamp and circular-framed "3d" and "½d" handstamps; 1923 (23 Sept.) postcard from Parma to Valletta, bearing 15c. (2) on picture side and showing, on address side, "T" handstamp and despatch machine datestamp over-cancelled by boxed "2½d" handstamp (PD 21/23) which has been crossed out by pen, probably when the adhesives were noticed on the other side; 1924 (9 Sept.) postcard from Rome to Valletta, franked at 50l. and showing arrival c.d.s. (12.9) and "T" handstamp with superb boxed "½d" handstamp at foot; 1924 (27 Nov.) Italian 30c. postcard from Piacenza to Rome an re-addressed to Valletta, showing transit datestamps, "T" and boxed "1½d" handstamps (PD 11/23) and arrival c.d.s. (3.12). A fine group
