1857-63 Imperforate Printed by J. Richardson in Auckland
1862 (9 Oct.) entire from Nelson "via Marseilles" to London, bearing 1d. dull orange in combination with 1862 2d. blue early impression and 6d. black-brown, both with four margins and slightly overlapping one another, each cancelled "15", short paid 3d. for a ½oz. letter and showing "insufficiently stamped/ fine_______", "more/ to/ pay" handstamp, dispatch and arrival (15.1) c.d.s. on reverse. Note: This is the only example recorded of the New Zealand '9'.
