Note: Mrs. Brown was the wife of pioneer missionary A. N. Brown who established the mission station at Tauranga. He and his wife sailed into the Bay of Islands in 1829 as only the third ordained missionary to arrive in the country. Brown died in 1884 at Tauranga.
