Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, 3 rixdollars, 14 July 1820, no serial numbers, three handsigned signatures, pattern at reverse,
(unlisted), tape and archival paper repair, fair. Old Cape Dutch money in denominations of rix-dollar, skiling and stivers were used during Dutch rule in the Cape Colony. From 1806 to 1824, only cardboard or paper currency were issued with no coinage. As one may have guessed, the currency were not very durable and are prone to damage or become dirty. Therefore this required regular reprinting and destructions of damaged notes. Very scarce
