Palestine Currency Board, cancelled isued £100, 1 September 1927, red serial number A000812, green, the White Tower at Ramleh at left, value at centre in pale brown guilloche, value at each corner, three printed signatures low centre of Percy Hubbart Ezechiel, Leslie Couper, Alfred John Harding, the members of the Palestine Currency Board, reverse green, the Citadel of Jerusalem with the Tower of David (Migdal David) at centre, value at left and right and low centre
(Pick 11a, TBB B106a, Dabbah p. 224), a wonderful previously unknown note, makes it the fourth known of the type and with the same serial number range as described in Dabbah (refer p.217). Due to lack of a proper specimen notes it was sent from Britain to Palestine, these notes were taken out of the reserves and were made as a presentations to local officials; first date and first signature issue for Palestine, in the past 20 years only 3 issued £100 ever offered in a public auction. Out of the 3 only one was cancelled issued type (serial number A000815), in PMG holder 15 Choice Fine, perforation cancelled, trimmed (design affected up to 1mm), printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, letter D from perforations CANCELLED missing, the Holy Grail of any Middle East collection, excessively rare!
