IBAT • crowned square topped shield with supporters, ER in cartouche below, 11.29g [174.0grns], 5h, m.m. tun (Vaughan-Morgan 17 same obverse die; Glendining, 24-25 May 1972, lot 516 same dies; Stewartby III, 996 same dies; Baumhauer I, 569 same reverse die; Schneider I, 692; North 1927; Spink 2450), lightly cleaned with minor flaws behind shoulder, the usual die break at reverse three o'clock, otherwise on a neat round flan, residually lustrous, a bolder very fine, the central devices surprisingly uniform for type, a very rare die pairing with only five traced in commerce
