Charles II (1649-1660), First Hammered Issue, Shilling, 1660-1662, crowned bust left, no inner circles or mark of value, rev. square-topped shield over cross moline, 6.02g, 10h, m.m. crown [on obv. only] (Bull 273; ESC 1009; North 2762; Spink 3308), on a remarkably full if slightly elliptical flan, beautifully cabinet toned, almost extremely fine / the reverse much as issued with lustrous flare, very rare in this attractive state and with an excellent pedigree
