1783-1865 pre-stamp postal history selection of six different items arranged on well written up pages including 1783 entire headed inside "St. Pierre M/que" cancelled by neat colon. franc/par marseille; 1839 packet letter from Fort Royal to Paris dated inside 25th January and with detailed report of the 11th January earth quake "You will have without doubt already learnt of the Disaster which has turned Fort Royal, the 11th of this month into heap of ruins. Of the 800 houses that made up the town, 600 have been completely destroyed...", generally fine, a very interesting selection .
