1887 25c. letter card addressed to rare destination "Papeete Taiti", neatly cancelled by "Monte Carlo" date stamp for "14 Juin 87" the reverse with "Nice a Marseille" railway T.P.O. date stamp for "15 Juin 87", transit "Paris" date stamp for "16 Juin 87", and arrival "Papeete" date stamp for "2 Auot 87", the writer asks to the Director of the Post Office if he could be supplied with certain provisional stamps. Very fine and most unusual .
