Kushan Empire, Huvishka (c.151-190), gold Dinar, 7.77g, crowned and diademed three-quarter length bust of Huvishka left holding a small sceptre before face, with small ankus in other hand, pseudo-Greek legend around, rev. god Shaoreoro standing right, holding a shield right, and a spear left, tamgha in left field, paophopo in right field (Göbl 265), test punch at top of reverse field, good fine, a rare chance to purchase a coin with this deity

Shaoreoro is a deity asscociated with the Roman god Mars. Very rarely depicted on coins he was the incarnation of Kushan imperial strength, and is also linked to the later Pahlavi Shahrevar.
