Great Britain: Star Motor Co. Ltd., 4/- ordinary shares, 19[29], #156, scrollwork at left, brown. This Wolverhampton based maker commenced with cycles as the Star Cycle Company. Produced its first car in 1898 as the Star Motor Company, changing ts name to Star Engineering Company in 1902. Record levels were achieved in the years after WWI until 1925 financial difficulties followed and in 1928 Guy Motors, another Wolverhampton maker took control and the name reverted to Star Motor Company. VF and rare.
