Great Britain: Sir W.G. Armstrong, Whitworth & Co. Ltd., 5% Second Preference shares, 19[21], #6319, scrollwork at left, red, printed by Waterlow Bros & Layton. This giant industrial company was formed by amalgamation of Joseph Whitworth and Armstrong Mitchell in 1897. Shipbuilders, arms manufacturer and automobile manufacturers. Merged with Vickers in 1927 to form Vickers-Armstrong but the autombole division passed to J.D.Siddeley to form Armstrong-Siddeley who continued to production of quality vehicles. VF and rare, not offered by us before.
