Great Britain: New York, Newfoundland & Halifax Steamship Co. Ltd., certificate for £100 shares, 18[1926], #161, decorative title, black printing. This company was founded in 1820 and managed by Bowring Brothers as the Red Cross Line with all of her ships being given names from Shakespeare plays. After heavy losses during the First World War, the company was sold and her ships transferred to the Bermuda & West Indies Steamship Co. in 1929. Has been removed from a fram so a little toned. Mount marks on reverse otherwise VF and rare. We have only seen one example before dated 1884.
