U.S.A.: L. A. Submarine Boat Company, $1 shares, 19[16], #3145, eagle top left, black and gold, gold seal. Incorporated 17th April 1911 to develop the Cage patent for submarine propulsion using one power united for both above and below water propulsion. Built by Craig Shipbuilding at Long Beach, trialled quite successfully by the Navy but sunk in 1916 and subsequently raised and scrapped. The company was however successful in getting Navy contracts for building submarines but the war was over by the time the decisions were finalised. An interesting discovery in 1944 of a buried submarine in the then defunct Craig Yard. VF.
