(x) Panama: Panama - Canal, Société d'Études et de Publications pour Favoriser L'Achèvement du Canal de Panama, part bénéficiaire, 1892, #7768, ornate border, red, central text obliterated. Together with Caisse Générale de Paris, savings bond, circa 1899, #400342, ornate border, blue and black, with coupons. This was an investment company that acquired mostly lottery bonds including that of the Panama Canal but also the Ottoman loan of 1870 and the Congo Free State bonds of 1888, and, La Caisse des Fonctionnaires S.A., 50 franc bond, 19[10], #0015, relating to a Panama Canal obligation, 3rd series #55073, ornate border, green and black. Plus miscellaneous certificates (5). The first EF, the remainder F-VF or thereabouts (8).
