Canada: Canada-Atlantic Railway Company, First Mortgage 100-Year 4½% Gold Bonds, a pair of proofs by the Franklin Lee Bank Note Co., for $1000 bonds, 1902, vignettes of steam trains at top, ornate borders, the first is a final printing on standard paper of both obverse and reverse with minor alteration to the reverse only, mauve and black, the second is a uniface proof on India paper in black only. Both with small hole cancels, the last with a small piece missing from the bottom left corner, otherwise VF (2).
