Great Britain: Schulke Gas Lamp Company Limited, a series of 3 different certificates comprising £1 shares, 18[90], #32, black, red seal, 7% preference shares of £1, 18[91], #35, black and fully paid £1 shares, 18[90], #125, black, red seal. A British company formed to exploit the patent for an electric gas-lighting device invented by Berlin scientists Julius Schulke and J Pinisch in 1878. Re-registered as the Schulke Lamp Company Ltd. in 1892. VF (3).
