Great Britain: Abdulla & Company Limited, £1 preference shares, 19[36], #3530, ornate border, nice vigette of the company trade mark depicting Egyptian and Turkish soldiers, black, printed by Waterlow & Sons. This British company first manufactured their Egyptian and Turkish blend cigarettes in 1902, later developing a popular Virginia blend cigarette. Controlling interest passed to competitor Godfrey Phillips in 1927 but the brand continued well into the 1950's. Tiny bit of damage to extreme left edge otherwise VF and scarce.
