Great Britain: The Gatling Gun Limited, £10 ordinary shares, 188[8], #88, signed by Major General J.C.Hay and Colonel G.A.Curzon as directors, brown. Probably the best known machine gun in history developed in America by Richard Gatling in 1861. First used in the Zulu War by the British army and then in many conflicts around the world until the development of the Maxim machine gun in 1886. This company owned all the licenses to manufacture the gun in Europe and the Eastern hemisphere and Richard Gatling was retained as consultant engineer by the company. VF and very rare.
