Great Britain: Werner Fréres Ltd., £1 ordinary shares, 19[05], #124, black. Michel and Eugène Werner experimented with motor bicycles as early as 1896 and by 1902 produced the first with the engine incorporated into the frame - the forerunner of the motorcycle as we know it. The company was acquired by British investors and went on to manufacture motor cars. Failed at the outbreak of war in 1914. F-VF and first time we have seen this type.
