Great Britain: Motor Traction Co. (1905) Ltd., £1 ordinary shares, various amounts paid, 190[6], #456, vignette of winged 'victory' at top black. A reconstruction of the Motor Traction Company which in turn was a reconstruction of the London Steam Omnibus Company in 1899 which operated steam, motor and elctric buses in the capital. The Motor Traction Company expanded into motor car agencies, being the agent for both Boyer and Germain cars. It was also the sole manufacturer of the Holden Motorcycle which ceased in 1902. In 1906 the company was granted a De Dion Bouton licence to build motor buses in Great Britain and the Colonies. This was later passed to the newly formed De Dion-Bouton (1907) Limited. VF and scarce.
