Note: Reacting to the increased Duty rates De La Rue was ordered on 31 May 1899 to produce $2, $5 and $10 stamps whose high values could only be used for fiscal purposes. They were never used. By the time they arrived in Sarawak it had been decided to locally overprint 1888 stamps with a capital "R" making it clear they were fiscal use only.
