1899 overprinted "CUSTOMS" on 1918 De La Rue Definitive Issue
1920 (20 Sept.) "license to import firearms" bearing 1899 $2 green and blue tied by large circular "shipping & customs office/sarawak" cachet in violet and Revenue 1918 50c. tied by "resident's office/sarawak....." cachet. Extremely rare

Note: In 1917 Order XXXV introduced a fee of 50 cents on Licences to import or carry firearms. To meet this requirement certificates were printed and the 1899 stamps were overprinted "CUSTOMS". This was continued with the 1918 stamps.

This is the only known copy of a Firearms certificate.
