Briton, Smart, Barbados W.I." to Port Dover, Ontario, rated "1", signed by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1861-70 (1d.) pale blue (a couple of small defects) cancelled with bootheel "1" and showing, on reverse, despatch, St. Thomas (23.4), Hamilton (19.5) and arrival (19.5) datestamps; envelope with repair at upper right corner.
