("30 aug 87" on blue granite paper without embossed Arms, in combination with Transvaal 1885 ½d., 3d. and 4d., all clearly tied by "vryheid" oval d.s. in violet, showing another fine strike alongside and, on reverse, sender's circular cachet in violet, Dundee, G.P.O. Natal and arrival datestamps; the 2d. with some soiling. A rare and attractive franking. Photo
