1861 (23 Mar.) envelope registered from Sandhurst to Switzerland, bearing perf 12 2/- dull bluish green on pale yellow [22] and Queen on Throne 6d. blue, both tied by Barred Numeral "4" and oval Registered London transit d.s. in red, showing despatch, "registered/melbourne" and Calais c.d.s., "Crown/registered" h.s., circular-framed "pd", straight-line "chargé" and various manuscript rate markings with Basel and arrival datestamps on reverse.
