1854 (9 Sept.) entire from Melbourne to Aberdeen, marked "pr Croesus", bearing 2/- dull bluish green on pale yellow [5] rouletted 7½ at top and at left, tied by Barred Oval "1", showing manuscript "1/4" and despatch datestamp with London and arrival datestamps on reverse. A rare cover illustrating the undocumented, but apparently official, experimental use of a rouletting machine in Melbourne in 1854. Photo
