1861 (25 July) envelope from Wedderburn to USA, bearing perf 12 6d. black strip of three [46-48] and rouletted Emblem 6d. dull violet on horizontal laid paper, both cancelled by Barred Numeral "120" and showing manuscript "8", London Paid transit c.d.s., c.d.s. and, on reverse, despatch and Melbourne datestamps; the envelope with some minor peripheral faults. The equal largest multiple on cover and the only recorded usage of the 6d. black to USA. Photo
