1859 (12 Nov.) commercial stampless wrapper to Denmark, rated "1/7½" in red ink with a fine strike of Plymouth despatch c.d.s. and the Plymouth narrow crown "registered" handstamp in red, a fair strike of the London narrow crowned "registered" (W&J 1133), the standard-type London registered oval datestamp code "M" and "P" in oval, each in red, additional rate marks of "fr2" in blue ink and "6½" in red ink (payment due to Hamburg); Hamburg datestamp (16.11) on the reverse. This was mailed from a Danish vessel docked at Plymouth, which would account for the Plymouth registration handstamp in red, treating this letter as incoming mail. There are two vertical filing folds which barely detract from this interesting cover.
