Edward Crooke: 1835 (7 Oct.) entire letter carried privately on the ship 'Girard' to Canton and addressed c/o Messrs Jas Goddard & Co, the flap bears ink stroke delivery characters for the Dutch factory in respect of its entrance position from the end of the street; arrival notation for 25th May 1836 and with horizontal filing fold.


The letter is from his brother, Nicholas, refers to the state of trade in England for cotton, tea (mixed) and raw silk (will do well if bought at a reasonable price). An interesting letter.
