1875 (24 May) envelope from Gordon Town to Mons, bearing 2d. rose and 1/- brown both cancelled by superb "A42" and showing equally fine despatch datestamp alongside (Proud D2 and the earliest date recorded), "1/1" accountancy mark in red crayon and London Paid datestamp (14.6), Kingston (4.5), "angleterre/ouest" (14.6) and Mons Station (14.6) datestamps on reverse; a most attractive franking.
