1865 (24 July) envelope ex the Major Kent correspondence from Kingston to Bareilly, Bengal, bearing 4d. orange-brown strip of three cancelled by three "A01" duplex and by London Paid transit datestamp (14.8), large manuscript. "1" and "11" accountancy marks in red crayon alongside, the reverse with Bombay (27.9), Agra (1.10) and arrival (9.10) datestamps. An unusual cover with an inscription under the flap reading "Will you tell me the exact Postage from here to India. I am sure it is more than 1 Shilling". Photo
