1868 (24 Oct.) envelope ex the Lieut. Col. Kent correspondence from Gordon Town to Cabul, bearing 4d. red-orange strip of three and a pair (imperforate at left) each clearly cancelled "A42", two indistinct manuscript rate marks deleted and showing London Paid datestamp (13.11), all on face, Gordon Town, Sea Post Office (22.11) and Nowshera (14.12) datestamps on reverse; some perforation faults though an unusual single value franking, normally formed with a variety of values.
