1848 (18 Nov.) and 1849 (4 Aug.) entire letters ex the Irving correspondence from Leogan, St. James to Manchester, Upper Canada, the first a double letter routed via Bermuda and Halifax to Quebec and Newmarket charged 6/4d. on arrival, the second "via England p packet" and rated "1/8" formed of inland "8" and packet "1/0" postage, sent by the Halifax Packet via Bermuda and handstamped in Canada "more to pay" and charged "2/9½" on arrival, seven transit datestamps on reverse; an interesting and unusual pair.
