1861 (23 Apr.) entire letter from Savannah La Mar to London, marked "per packet pd" and "Paid 6d." with despatch datestamp used at a time following the loss of the "A75" obliterator in early 1861, despatch, Kingston and Jamaica Paid (both 24.4) datestamps, all on face. Few examples recorded of this rare provisional usage. Photo
