Early Letters and Handstamps
1763 (19 Sept.) entire from Johnson & Jolly of London to Messers. Newton & Gordon in "Granandoes", no postal markings and presumed carried privately, the last page with a reference to the remainder of their last order being sent by the Princess of Wales and Capt. Cleveland. The earliest recorded letter from Great Britain to Grenada. R.P.S. Certificate (2003) states "disinfected" though other than the odd trace of ageing this is not evident. Photo
