1873 (13 Mar.) front ex the Bernardy correspondence from Bridgetown to London, marked "Book Post" and bearing 1873 watermark Small Star 6d. orange-vermilion placed sideways and neatly cancelled by "1" datestamp with a further strike alongside; a couple of creases clear of the adhesive. A rare franking with only one other Book Post rate recorded, this being established in 1871
