1873 (1 Oct.) envelope to USA, marked "Per Chna, via Brindisi", bearing 1871 2d. and "ninepence" on 10d. tied by two strikes of Sydney duplex, showing red crayon "2", London Paid (24.11) and New York (8.12) transit datestamps in red with New Bedford arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with part of flap missing. An attractive and very rare usage of the 9d. and 10d. on commercial cover. Photo
